Description: Participants will explore emerging models for -- and current research on -- middle school reform, and will apply those models and research to their strategic planning effort. Refer to the event brochure or application form on this Web site's home page for more details.

Who May Register: 4- to 6-person school district leadership teams

Supplemental Application: Districts in which more than 50% of the students are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch may apply for a grant from the Hewlett-Packard Company. Up to 11 middle school teams will be selected to receive a scholarship package that covers the cost of symposium registration as well as a "presentation package" of HP technology (laptop, projector, and digital camera). The HP grant application must be completed and returned to the NSRC along with the symposium application form.

Registration Process: Return a completed application to the NSRC (address and fax number are on the application form) by October 8. There are incentives for early application.

Cancellation Policy: Registration fee is nonrefundable.
