News from Carolina Biological Supply Company

Vol. 11, No. 2, Fall/Winter 1999

Carolina Biological Supply Company, publisher of the NSRC’s Science and Technology for Children (STC) curriculum, reports that two states, New Mexico and Indiana, adopted STC in 1998; the curriculum was also readopted in Utah.

The company also reminds readers that STC Discovery Decks (eight of which are now available) are now included with the purchase of STC kits for grades 4 to 6. Also tucked into STC kits for Solids and Liquids, Magnets and Motors, Plant Growth and Development, Balancing and Weighing, and Food Chemistry are Carolina’s teacher resource videos that demonstrate the use of the laboratory materials in the kits. Videos for the remaining STC units are in production.

Finally, by next spring, each kit will contain a third "extra"--the Spanish versions of the student books for each unit on CD/ROM.

For information about STC units, call Carolina Biological at 800-227-1150.
