Background

The Washington Regional LASER Site hopes to reach 120 of the 296 school districts—which are predominantly small and rural—in the State of Washington over a five-year period.


Coalition Members

The Washington Regional LASER Site is a consortium of leaders in science education from scientific research organizations, informal science education, colleges and universities, state education agencies, and lead school districts. These leaders represent organizations that are geographically distributed across the state. Key organizations supporting Washington LASER include:

  • Battelle
  • Pacific Science Center
  • Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction
  • Education Service Districts 105, 112, 114, and 189
  • Kennewick and Tacoma School Districts
  • Institute for Systems Biology
  • The Evergreen State College
  • Western Washington University
  • The Boeing Company, Intel, Agilent Technologies, Washington Mututal, and Amgen
