STC/MS Life Science Modules

Human Body Systems

In this STC/MS life science unit, students move from their initial understandings about individual organisms developed in elementary school to build upon their natural interest in their own bodies. They investigate the function, structure, behavior, and regulation of the digestive, circulatory, respiratory, muscular, and skeletal systems.

Organisms—From Macro to Micro

Students investigate the growth and development of a diverse set of organisms representative of the five kingdoms. The investigations allow students to compare and contrast the developmental stages and life cycles of these organisms and to identify how they are structurally and behaviorally adapted to their environments.
