To date, the NSRC has held more than 65 week-long NSRC Science Education Strategic Planning Institutes for 1200 school districts representing over 30% of the U.S. student population. An Independent third-party study found that over 90% of districts that had participated in week-long NSRC Strategic Planning Institutes had sustained changes to their local science education programs for a decade or longer that were based on best practices.

Today, about 80% of Washington State students, 100% of Delaware public school students, and large percentages of Pennsylvania, Alabama, South Carolina, and North Carolina students are benefiting from research-based science education based on the NSRC leadership development programs and the applications of the NSRC Systemic Science Education Reform Model.
